Heard that Paul Mander's Christmas pressie had arrived in Ron Fenton's last container, so we popped round to see it Sunday afternoon while I was up at Stu's.

Not matching numbers but a tidy resto, with a nice paint job and a fairly mild 400 / TH400 (i think) / 12 bolt.

He had the steering & brakes done by Ron's 'man' out in Florida as it was a bit of a death trap (esp the steering); Hotchkis steering & suspension & a front disc w/servo conversion. He could have had the original Rally wheels but decided to keep these Weld wheels which also came with the car, as the Rallys wouldnt fit with the new calipers (usual story  )

Despite having & being involved in Mopars in some shape or form, all his adult life, this is the car he's always wanted since being a nipper :binky:

Dunno how long he'll put up with the mild 400 tho.....

Beautiful Car, so much better looking than anything Mopar had at the time in my opinion.

Very nice - I've always liked them. A guy in our local car club (Colin Cooper) owns a 66 with a tri-carb 428 and 4 speed. He's a nice fella - I'm sure he'd like to talk to Paul.

Just browsing the old stuff.

What a fantastic looking car. I'd have one of them at the drop of a hat.

Love them early GTO's, I had a black on black 65 4 speed tri-power 389 car for a very short while about twenty years ago, really wish I still had it
