Bucket seats

I've ordered a new set of seat covers from American Originals, which are cut from patterns in the states to spec and shipped over. I've told them that the car has buckets, and seen late 60's b-body headrests and hinge covers on e-bay that match those on my car ('68 satlellite), but I'm still not convinved that the car had them from day one. Assuming that I have contemporary B body seats from somthing, is it safe to assume that the covers are going to fit? Did seats in a '68 dodge with buckets differ only in the stitching pattern over standard frames, or were frames significantly different from model to model and brand to brand?
After having made a complete hash of sorting out the cooling sytem, the last thing I want is a set of slubs that make my seats look like Kate Moss wearing Dawn French's trousers, or visa versa!
