Help!
I've got my dates a bit mixed up and it looks like I'll be on the Isle of Wight until the 7th, so I can't make the Swappie.
Turnip (Jon) has got a damper for my stroker and I was wondering whether someone can hold onto it for me and I'll pick it up when I return from "overseas"!

I can sort it Ivor, I'll have a stall as usual.

Cheers mate, that's great!
I'll slide over to your neck of the woods, it'll give me an excuse to go through some gearbox stuff

adrian
if you have not been
it can be a bit of a pig to find
get over to the NSRA to download their map
do not depend on sat nav
or sat nav/post code
it will dump you in the middle of the post code for the area
which covers approx 1 square mile
the middle just happens to be half way down a sliproad on the A13...no bloody good.
when you get there...if its before 10 am the queue is all sellers
just drive past and go and park in the field at the bottom.
then freeze ya nuts off waiting to get in with the rest of us
buy some stuff that you will sling under ya work bench and never look at again
have a dog burger and a natter
feel all the better for it
i'm looking forward to having a chat with a bloke who has 2 48mm dellorto carbs
both of which he has had since 2006 which i pick up and offer £50 for every year at this and at numerouse other auto jumbles and the NEC
he is always dismissive and rude when i point out that they are knackered idle mix screw should not poke into the throttle bore...!!!!
but its the kind of sport i like to indulge in...
PS if you do see something good...buy it cos somone else will i missed out on a massive alluminium bar and a pillar drill last year
you can allways flog it to all the people who say Oh i was hopeing to get one of them, for more than you paid
all good fun
Dave

no trip to the isle of Wight is complete without

Ta for the advice Dave, see ya there

Absolutely essential Dave, in fact the gnomes send us post cards from Blackgang Chine.
We model our garden gnomes in exactly the same way.
I have also begun to build a collection of pottery shire horses pulling wagons with goldie looking chains on them...no not the band.
Next is the mahogany display cabinet full of long necked glass swans and china bells from Shanklin.
Lovely, I can see you are into the scene...

Turn off the M25 at the Lakeside junction but follow the signs for the Services. The entrance to the Services and the entrance to Arena Essex are on the same roundabout. Arena Essex is hardly signposted at all, it's highly unlikely you'll find it otherwise.
