Has anyone tried any of the home plating kits that are available out there and what kind of results did you achieve?

Jem, you need to talk to Roger, he's had a production line going on his plating kit!

I think he's had some good results, so he'll know the score.

Jem, I bought a kit a few years ago (nickel or zinc IIRC), but to be honest I concluded that getting stuff replated professionally is so cheap that it was a better use of my time to go that route - and it is pretty unusual for me to come to that conclusion!

Having said that, if you do it yourself at least you have complete control of what you get, plus I'm sure it is a rewarding experience. No doubt Roger will be able to advise. If you end up wanting a kit I might still have mine untouched!
