Driving the charger today in the nice hot sun when it boiled over real bad (thermostat stuck and when i checked it its not got a bypass hole) then found it has blown at least 1 headgasket and maybe warped the heads again.Ive only just had them skimmed after they warped when the water pump impellor fell off.Lucky ive got a garage full of 383 engines,so lots of work if im going to make it to brooklands on sunday.

Gimme a shout Dave if you need any bits. I havent got much lying around at the mo but ask and I will se if I have it.
Have a brand new thermostat and gasket you can have if you need it. I wont be needing it for a while yet

It is not common to warp the heads on a chrysler big block. They are pretty strong and the head bolt pattern and number of bolts help prevent that happening. I have boiled my 440 Challenger a few times without damage and my old 318 I drove for a couple of miles to get home without any water at all without damage.
