went up Mooloolaba for the weekend with Carol, George and me Ma and Sister who are visiting. 100km North of Brizzy, proper surf beach, smashed to bits in the dumping surf, fishing off the beach of an evening.
Friday night, nothing, Saturday night, nothing, Sunday night......Booom! Whizzzzz! Caught this little fella!. Bit bitey, but got the hook out and returned him safely.

Also got a Wobegong, a type of shark....Good night out!

Within walking distance of the apartment and the rum and cokes were flowing! Wading out to lob me bait seems a bit risky now!

That's the bait, mate! Big bit of Mullet, sharks hooked in corner of jaw, easy unhook with needle nose pliers and quick reactions......

Even at that size, don't think I'd have stayed swimming for long if I saw him heading my way!

A wobegong once swam between my legs when i was just adjustin my mask
needless to say
i kinda flew above the water for a bit and dropped me camera
one of them swallowed a blokes arm in the kids pool at bronte beach in sydney
took a life guard to pull it off. he was a bit bruised
kids enjoyed it though, just carried on throwing blue jellyfish about

Kev, have you been scuba diving round there yet? Must be loads to see round the reefs?
