Wow what a great weekend in Sweden, and what an absolute fantastic track, if you are ever thinking of going to Europe to watch drag racing give this place a try, according to some racers in the know they were saying it's probably top 10 in the world! Well Started off well on Friday in Q1 with a 5.36 then tried a different tune in Q2 and run a 5.40 and Grumpy wasn't happy, but the track was fantastic so put a big tune in for Saturday Q3 went out and run a 5.29 first European TMD to run into the 5.20s got it back to the pits and hardly any damage just needed to back it up so Q4 went out and run 5.32 so all going to plan at the moment new record and No 1 qualifier. So eliminations on the Sunday all we have to do is win 3 races and that would be perfect so E1 against Paul Udtian Grumpy blew the tyres away but Paul red lit so 2 more rounds to go so E2 against Timo Habermann, Timo got the jump but Grumpy reeled him in and got the win by 0.049 great race, so we're in the final against Fred Hanssen Grumpy did his burn out staged but couldn't put his fuel on the cable had seized, so run was aborted.
But all in all pretty good first in the 5.20s new record and runner up in the final, but a lot of hard work 14 hour days none stop,
I wanted to take loads of pictures and do a full in depth report but I had no time spare but i'll post a couple of pic's, still a lot of mopars here I did take some pictures but didn't have my camera when I found quite a few in the pits.

The Track is amazing, all concrete smooth as a baby's bum, only trouble was by the Sunday the top fuel guy's were ripping the rubber off the startline and it was a bit patchy, some of the sportsman classes were running .25 sec quicker than they've ever run. Santa Pod should take a long hard look at there facility's and spend some money.

Hi Autofetish,
We will be at Alistaro in Finland from 30th Jun-4th July then at Hockenhiem Germany 11th-15th August if you can pop by the Silverline http://www.davewilsonracing.co.uk/ pit and say hello, it get's pretty manic between rounds bearings getting changed, heads off and checked maybe a valve or two changed and the odd piston or two changed, oil and fuel out, warm up oil & fuel in, warm up motor, then warm up oil & fuel out, and race oil and fuel, all this between rounds.

Wow, quite a setup there!
Shame Shaky or the Pod can't come up with that sort of investment, it would draw a lot more crowds than a couple o monster trucks and a drifting display
