Yep, the Mustang was sprayed in Velvetex, which was popular for a while in the early '70's. The guy owned the Paradise garage boutique, you'd sometimes see it parked outside. It was me that took photograph No3 in about 1974.

It's all coming back! The Chelsea Cruise had a brilliant atmosphere back in the day and I remember seeing the Ford and the Chevy.
Can't say I remember seeing the tiger striped Muzzy though
I've still got a set of those J A Pearce wheels hanging on the garage wall though!

Great thread and photos. Mike Hall's black 55 Chevy had a big influence on me. I recently found a load of my Chelsea Cruise photos - terrible quality, but here's a couple of Mopars...

Crikey Adam, '70 Road Runner rag top with a dust trail, white hood and black interior...what a spec

It was owned by a guy called Bernie. Great guy, but he could get you into trouble. My Satellite was parked in front of him, also on the pavement, and a parking warden asked us to move them, not unreasonably. Bernie gave the warden a load of lip, and we both finshed up with tickets
I think the ragtop went to Europe.

Just found this one of Carolyn, with a Mustang that was very similar to the one I had at the time. Wow, 30 years ago...
