Caliper bolts.

What is this?
Do I need a special socket for these, or will a normal one work?

OOh I like them! Thanks Bob... Turns out I don't need to undo those bolts. But I might go get myself a set this evening!

They do male and female Jeff like fancy sockets, Funny thing I have Just fitted rear shoes to my Cherokee I need rims really but they are £99 and the damn thing is only worth £750.

Going to have to disagree i would say that a spline socket would be needed here.
First 2 pics are spline male and female and third and forth picture are torx

As bob says buy the torx i have only ever seen spine bolts holding heads down and have always used a torx socket to get it out.
All moden car are now torx also look out for torx male sockets with little holes in the middle theses are safe torx.

safety torx used on modern cars so you have to take the car to the dealer
