Rear Leaf Springs Identity ?

Got a set of rear leaf springs, need to replace the bushings

width of spring is 6cm with the hole being approx 2cm inner dimension

Has these numbers
712
76 (then mopar logo)
3219

or

340081 further down

What have I got?

You have to use inches when measuring these old cars Justin. After all. That is how they were made.

Is the eye the same diameter at each end? Which end are you replacing the bushings in?

If you're going to use metric, at least use millimteres... centimetres are for women and school kids :lol:


But best use inches for this old stuff. Unless you're talking tyre width. But not wheel width.... :geek:

Hi Justin,

A-bod springs have a 7/8''inch, 22mm eye socket for the spring hanger bush, with 7/16'' pin dia.
B-bods have a 1''inch, 25.4mm recepticle, (as in 1/8'' of an inch larger outer dia) and a bigger pin hole of 1/2''.

Sounds like you have A-bod springs there fella.
