I like the curry place in Gosforth but the pubs are crap.
Spice a'la Cart has changed its name to "Mrs Ali's" and the three pubs around it are now pretty damn good. Mr Lynch's, As You Like It, and (to a lesser extent) The Carriage. Plus it is walking distance to either the Jesmond Road pubs OR the the Haymarket.
We could actually eat in "As You Like It" but it is a bit more pricey.

Had a quick look at the menu's for As You Like It and Mrs Ali's, both seem to be about average for where they are.
Suppose it's down to whether it's gonna be a curry for all night or if you want a bit more choice of whether you have a curry or something else.
How about trying for late November / early December, are we all ok with a Saturday night or, would you rather it was a week night (not Friday) / Sunday night?

Friday nights are best but Andy can't so a Saturday night would suit me.

Just a thought. But how about us lot going Karting one weekend? Maybe even tie it in with the xmas dinner and make a full day of it?
Obviously Andy will probably win but it would be bloody good fun trying to catch the bugger.
I have not done it for years but always enjoyed it.
Just a thought. I could do with a bit of racing fun. I get sick of just watching it.
