yeah well the proof is in the pudding as they say, wait and see what the car will run with it in......

Nice vid, no specs, no visual of hp run on the dyno?...

440ci..Iron ported heads....14:1 CR?, .750 rollercam? = 700+hp??...maybe?....how much are you allowed to change in their SS class over there....will a max ported iron head flow enough cfm for those numbers....I doubt it.

The Hauser Challenger had a Rossi max out SS engine as you know, that ran a best of 10.0 as far as I know in about a 3300lb car?, with 6-pak set up...=630 ish hp, much the same as Koffel motors.
What do you reckon Dunc, I would've thought you need B1's or eddys to make 700+ out of small cubes.

The guys at PPM are renown world wide for there superstock engines.. Some of there engines go to the States... ...I know what went into Glen Applegrens 383 and why it cost so much money ,,That made 460hp at 490 ft lbs,,,and that is stock right down to the carb.... And unless you have seen the Swedish Stock and Superstock series you have no idea of the standard of the cars ,,and the money that goes into them... We all like to say our engines make this power...might have been guilty of that myself in the past...But either way that engine looks the nuts. Its even got one of them fancy Jackson oil pumps at 700 dollers a pop....Jimbo put me down for one of them bling oil pumps :thumbright:

Maybe PPM are the nuts, don't know a great deal about them, as there's no spec about the engine and no dyno facts/visuals, there claim to make 700+ with this motor is debatable, all we know is its 440ci/6=pak/stock looking heads and a sheet metal intake, and a lot of bling, bling don't make hp!
Until that particular engine is seen running very low 9's high 8's in a 3300lb or thereabouts car I won't take their word for it I'm afraid on just a short vid like that, will be interesting to see though...maybe they have the ultimate secret?

using a good back halved car coming in at 3,050 with driver its going to take circa 800hp to run 9.2s if all is in your favour,
rays dart is 3,100 with driver that has an honest 700-20 hp and runs 9.7s

that is one hell of a 440 to make that sort of power and i would think would need to flow enough air to rev around 8,000rpms tpo make that hp

Yeah, I think I'm a bit out with the ET's/weight etc Dunc...was basing it on my 9.96 at 3300lb at about 630hp +100hp for the PPM motor which is normally 8th's or so worth....but I guess it don't quite work like that always.......would've thought ray could do a bit better than 9.7's though.at 700/3100?
