Hi Lads
Ive toyed with the idea since the winter, im gonna get the 68 charger repainted. As much as the black paint already on her is ok, there are a few cracks, some fish eyes on her. I hate having a £30K car with bog standard paintwork. Ive spoken to my good friend Gary who has done all my paint work in the past, he is currently building a Dax Cobra but when hes finished im gonna book the car in for 2 months. Im wondering what colour to paint her. I have a Kandy paint chart and im in two minds about the Brandywine or Cobalt blue. I will need to order new rims as well to go with the paint. Do you have any ideas about a good custom paint colour?
Ive also ordered new side marker lights as they were removed by the previous owner.
Let me know ur thoughts on a good custom paint colour for a 68 charger,
many thanks
Rene

What was the original colour? You may find a modern take on that.

Hi Autofetish
She is Jet black at the moment, and as much as i like black its a ball ache to maintain. She will never be a numbers matching car but to me shes awesome.

Red.......

Think this is a fantastic looking colour!!!
Have also seen people putting lambo style pearlescent oranges etc on classic 70's muscle....Bit different to hemi orange!
If your going for modern wheels......Haven't seen to many Grey's.
Put the black in the right places (boot stripe etc) and it could look fantastic...

Not exactly Derek, he had it sprayed yellow, didn't look anywhere near as nice after.
This was in the early 90's when red and yellow was popular, not for me though.

Hi Guys
Many thanks for the replys, and they grey charger looks awesome. Ive spoken to the painter etc and basically im not gonna let the cat out the bag but will post pics when complete, I saw a beautiful colour combo on a Foose musclecar and im gonna go with that along with some fantastic new rims. As the car isnt matching numbers anyway and im not wanting an original type car the paint work will be a hell of a lot different to what we see normally. Im sorry for being a spoil sport by not revealing but id like to show you all the before and after when shes done,
thanks again guys

Ghost flames........??
Can't remember the guy's name from the show but i know they had him on a few times to do cars!
Never been a fan of flamed cars until i saw the way he did it. Very understated and classy without being in your face.
