This could possibly be the only way to watch the FIA drag racing if the Pod loose it..Big things going on ....not that most of you care if the big dogs do not come to England.....do not,, think it will not affect you .....if the Pod loose a big stream of money form these FIA events ...The Swedes have it all ,,Speedgroup and the only NHRA sanctioned drag strip in Europe .... They have no reason to travel all that way anymore.....Be warned :thumbright:

Jon,, Grumpy is one of the founder members of Speedgroup ,so i get the gossip...Seems this has beem brewing for some time. The excuse is the shut down area is no good....The rails are not affected because of the huge rear wings they run but the shorter wheelbase cars are struggling to dump speed safely...The track was meant to be updated but after several promises nothing has been done.... add that to the fact they cut the start line up a week before the Finals last year and no one could get of the line causing several people to loose the championship ... They say the Pod is old and out of date for the new breed of Pro Mods and Pro Stocks ,,Tierp and Hockenhiem make it look worn out ... Speedgroups power is growing and the man that has been running the FIA tour seems to be loosing his grip...of course this is all gossip ;)Grumpy is the only Englishman in Speedgroup ,,so you can safely say that Europeon Drag Racing wil be run by the Nordic racers sooner rather than later

Looks like I will have to start learning Swedish :read2:

I know it cost a lot to run a facility like the Pod but they don't seem to spend the money in the right places, I think this video sums it up quite well
