Why no hood? I'm sure I've read when they tested with hood or without, it went slower without?

HA HA.. Great car, crap driver. Twice i left the line with the front wheels turned slightly, another run, i ran out of fuel half way down. A pb was there for the taking if i had looked at the car, i.e shooters, jets, different carb etc. i didn't even do a plug check, i couldn't be arsed this weekend, i just wanted to kick back and enjoy myself. Touch wood, the car ran well, never got hotter than 180-190, i've gone two grades hotter on the plugs and they look better but i'm not trying to tempt fate, as i know things can soon go awry.
The car ran a 10.26 best and as John says a 1.39 60ft, that would have been a pb if the car was straight, launch felt damn good though.
Spent the weekend with John and Chris amongst others, btw, congrats to Chris ran a 13.97 on his second run ever with a mild 383 in a full weight Satellite, good going and thanks to John S for being my pit crew, startline man and pusher, not that i listen to him mind. lol.. Also, got a bit of help sunday from Nigel Oakey.
All in all, great weekend, shame there wasn't a few more mopar guys there though.

Wondered what had happened there, Mick, but didn't see you later. Thought you'd bust something at first, but you were back round in less time than it took us to walk down the stands.
At least you had the sense to get out of it when it ended up skewing over the line.

Thanks Cliff, maybe, i dont know ?

Because the rear tyres are tall, the back sits quite high, even though i moved the axle back and lowered it. So when it gets off line it lt tends to lean over a bit, like in the pic, i drove through it one time but still had to come off the throttle slightly, John thought that particular run would have been a pb.
Maybe when i fitted the dana and retubbed it along with the boot floor, i should have put ladder bars in at the same time.

Agreed, I am a big ladder bar fan for their simplicity and effectiveness, but they will only get you so far before you need a 4 link.
I sold Ivor a ladder bar set up off the '67 that may do you, however I would advise going for the adjustable ones as it makes pinion setting a lot easier.............I still have the coil overs off the '67 somewhere........

Mick, I think if you put Bars and C/overs in you could run in the teens to 0's, or even a 9, with the car lowered if the tubs allow for tyre growth. Mine worked real well with a bit more power than you w/sniff on.

dont like to see them narrow dodge darts with tall tyres and leaf springs,
my chally has been 9.40s on old superstocks but is wider and lower on the rear and thats a handfull

Les
I need to address the fuel system first, it took 70 secs to fill a gallon can.
Dunc
When i fitted the dana i moved it back an inch and lowered the back down but it still sits fairly high because of the 31" tyres.
