Sunday last was the Lancashire Classic Car and Bike Show at Hoghton Tower near Preston

Not been to this show before, and with sun shining would have been rude not to

Some great photos there :thumbright: I do like a show with lots of different types of cars. Can you tell me more on the MK2 Tina with BMW power? I like that ;)

yep, I meant to mention that, an awesome conversion probably not to everyone’s cuppa, the chap that owns/built it is disabled, he has limited use of his right arm so needs an auto

his Mrs had been running a BMW 330D auto for some years and they were impressed with it, so he decided to transplant 330D motor/trans/drive/axle into his mkII. He ended up using the floor as well, he acquired a 330D write off and 2 ½ years later here it is

it was running while we were there and even though the 3.0D 6 is fairly quiet, listening to it and looking at the car at the same was just so weird, it messes with your senses

probably my favourite car there, if nothing else just for having the balls to do something different!!

Must be pretty damn quick too having lost the weight of the BM and over 300lb of torque, would make a great daily driver

Yes, excellent array of toys in the field! 8-)

I'd always worry though about the length of grass and low slung exhaust headers, not to ention belts/drive/pulleys........Potential for ignition if the grass is bone dry??

Some great looking yanks too! :thumbright:
