does anyone know if a 1975 set of belts from a dart

will fit the 1970 model?

depends

if they are from a 2 door pillarless dart and yours is a 2 door pillarless dart

i'd guess so

in fact any belt with a drop link from the roof line mount will probably do in a 2 door

4 door and post car belts are probably different as they mount on the B pillar so can be set at appropriate height not to cut into you neck

pillarless cars use a drop link

so anything of correct vintage will do

provided your tags match the buckles you bolt to the floor.

I have ford falcon ones in my charger and it hasn't complained

Cheers Dave.

All I know is they are 75 dart belts. I'll ask if it's a 2/4 door or bucket/bench seat.

yeah do they have a drop link
and do you need a drop link? is yours a hardtop or pillarless coupe

i.e the bit the bolts to the roof line has a loop which a metal slider for the top loop of the belt

thus the belt appears to be anchored just at your shoulder when in use i.e middle of the window

these be mine

Mine is pillerless.

There is nothing on the roof that shows it had seatbelts there once. But you can feel a anchor point under the headlining. So I reckon it's had a new headlining put in. And the belts never refitted.

All the pillerless Darts had that anchor point but it was only some of the bucket seat ones not all of them that had the shoulder belt if yours did then it would have a piece on the sun visor which it attached to when it was not in use

:thumbright:

Mine has the sholder belt part.

There is a clip about 20-30 inches infront which holds the belt above the doorline when not in use........Nothing on the sun visor though?

I think it must be a pre 70 dart thing..

Seats in mine are bench type with arm rest.

But I don't think that's standard.

Look like barracuda type to me.

My 69 340 Swinger had no sign of shoulder fitting ever being used and no clip to store belt when not in use but the threaded fitting was there. It has a factory bench seat with no armrest. I used XV motorsport inertia reel belts but they are for bucket seats. This was not not mentioned when buying so had to make new mounting on the inner sill so the reel did not foul the seat. Good belts to use though.
