control arm bushes and ball joints

evening all. i want to replace the pivot shafts and bushings in the lower control arms on my 68 barracuda, my question is, do they just press in/out ? also where can i source lower ball joints for 73-76 spindles.

You can push the pin out with a press. That is the easy bit.
Then weld a plate on the outer of the remaining bush and then push that out as it is blind. Pin/shaft is re-usable.

Some people burn them out and then insert Urathane inserts - I do not like this as the bush is not captive and it means the control arm is not positively retained.

Bushes are cheap, just a bugger to get in and out. Bushes fit A, B, C, & E bodies............

and illustrates what bits are part of the arm and what bits are part of the bush

so you know what to hit with the F B Hammer/hacksaw/big old press
