A few sneak previews - assuming it makes the cut....

Classic American requested a photo shoot of the 'Bee after seeing it at Duxford.

I don't know if it will make the magazine, but they kindly let me have a few shots and permission to put some low quality ones up here....

That's a cracker Pete, I can see why they would want to do a feature on it, fingers crossed they do, would look forward to reading that.

My mate is almost at the end of restoring a 59 Chevy Bel Air 2 door they are going to do a feature on when its finished.

Thanks Roel, that's a compliment coming form you with your high standards.

As I have mentioned many times, I cannot take the credit and it is all down to the committment and tenacity of Vince Donald the previous owner!!

Pete, How come you haven't gone for Plain Steels 8" x 15" on the back and 5" x 15" on the front, think it would look the dog's :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:

Because I had a set of ARE's hanging around and I could not get what I wanted in Steelies (believe me I researched it) to work with the 12.5" x 29" M/T Sportsmans.

I wanted to fill those big rear arches up and use Superstock springs - I like the Hot Rod look....

I have the correct wheels laid up safely :thumbright:

Thanks Ade.
It was strange how the shoot came about.
If I'd had the choice, I would have preferred Dave McBride took them as he is a mate, and that Tony O wrote the article because of his great knowlege but it was not to be.....Paul Bussey did a great job nonetheless.

In all honsety, the car photos better than it is in the flesh; but at least you can drive it and not worry too much about scratches......it will look rough next to Roger's Charger.......

I did try a set of 10" x 15" AREs as well, but the back-spacing did not work and they REALLY looked like cartoon wheels

Incidentally, the 10" x 15" AREs are still for sale - 3 3/4" Back space on 4.5" PCD ;)
