Looks like a good project, body looks solid and straight, are you putting it back to LHD, parts should be easily sorced over your side of the pond?

Hope Sully's keeping it original because he pointed out its rarity!
Would expect its a big talking point at the local meets!
Great photo's of the barn find, very atmospheric!
Would love to buy a property with an old barn on the land and find a treat like this hidden away!

Bulkhead is different, either left hand drive or right hand drive was not made to change over, hell of a job to change it , or change the whole firewall keep it RHD !!!

it was never left hand drive
Hamtamk production line to UK RHD all the way
with Euro spec. torsion bars brakes and heavy duty rear suspension

There is more than one RHD conv over stateside then.
The one Alex Doig owned went back, that was RHD and red IIRC.

why wouldn't a barracuda from a US factory be left hand drive...
but for 2 years they made some RHD stuff
prior to that only the canadian factories did RHD in the 50s for RHD canada. hence dodge lancers and royals etc RHD some assembled in kew some in ausstralia some in SA
australia and south africa took advantage with CKD kits until about 1962 when both got chrylser owned or heaviliy subsidised factories, shared their RHD technology as the supplies from the US dried up.
different case for the steering box, internals the same with the ballnut back wards and meshing with the sector mirror image style
different lower balljoints
different dash
peddle box
bellhousings clutch
other than that all the same
after 68 i believe the only place doing RHD was australia and SA for Mopars of American origin
worked the other way as well
hillman avenger RHD plymouth cricket LHD
chrysler/simca 1800 LHD and french chrysler centura RHD version and aussie
