Just bought these over the phone, didn't realise there was vat to go on them. £50 for a pair of poxy headlamps, that were £34 on ebay.
Once bitten, twice shy.

If i swap the old sealed beam units on my Satellite for these with a 60/55W Halogen bulb, do i need to use a relay or anything to protect against the (presumed) increased wattage?

I put in a relay so did Anton, it's an easy job to do.

Yes you should use relays, not only do they protect the switch and your old wiring the bulbs will be brighter too.

Im on relays too and have found the best units to be the Autopal units. They have the correct glass curvature as some of the ones in the conversion kits are too flat and don't look right. Got mine from Holdens....great service :thumbright:

Inner main beam

outer dipped with sidelight
