WANTED: Altered or Front Engined Digger Chassis

Ye, it would appear that I have stopped taking my medication.

It's an itch I have wanted to scratch for some time, especially after seeing Nick Osgathorpe's superb creation.

I fancy a front engined nostalgia rail or Altered Whelbase car as a new project.

Notwithstanding eBay, does anyone have anything squirrelled away for a rainy day?

Must be a complete rolling chassis - rear end, front end, steering, etc; and must be big enough to take a BB Chysler.

I will prepare the "tumbleweed" Emoticon accordingly................ ;)

Many thanks,

Pete

How fast are you wanting to run? Clayton Round is still trying to sell his 6sec T all fresh, new blower, new lenco, ran 6.9's with smaller blower and glide, think £18k would buy it with the enclosed trailer etc

Thanks Jerry/Marc.
I think that is a bit OTT for my needs and aspirations.

I want a rolling shell as motor and Trans are sorted.

Thanks for replying, though..

Sure there was a slingshot with a chubby lump recently on eBay Pete.
Don't know if it sold ?
Try and dig it out :thumbright:

Alternatively speak to Roy Wilding, he'll build you an all new car and it's cheaper than you'd think, your looking at around £6k to build the car to a roller (I've priced it up), I have plans here for a slingshot and have a tube supplier so could also build you a chassis, just a thought

I'm very happy to see you going this route Pete- exactly what I'd do if I had the money.
I'd love a simple, lightweight front engined slingy with narrow slicks you could smoke halfway up the track :D
This is the stuff the forum needs, I'll be glued to your progress :thumbright:

Thanks DB but have not bought one yet, or worked my magic with Mrs Wiseman to full effect either....

However, I am working on that one and I do have a bazillion brownie points at the moment (mind you I have used a few up having boughgt 5 motorcycles as well...................)
