correct fit?

now my dart needs a lot of bushes etc on the front, so i thought if im gonna be replacing a lot of them, i might as well do everything then its done and dusted.

the question i have, is my dodge is currently on 4pot discbrakes, and i dont know if this was a standard item?

if not, would these fit the car? as the 'WITH FACTORY DISK BRAKES ONLY' thing on that item is throwing me slightly.

im not sure what it came with from the factory, drum of disc..does that provide much of a problem? or should i just get the 'WITH FACTORY DRUM BRAKES ONLY' version instead?

Thanks!

I'd expect you have the standard Kelsey Hayes discs on the front (same as mine).

Some info on allpar:

http://www.allpar.com/history/mopar/disc-brakes.html

Depends who you speak to regards Poly bushes.
But some suggest the natural give in the rubber components is required. Fitting Polys can actually overstress some susp components................I have no experience of this just what i have gleaned from some sites. Again it does depend who you talk to!

I've got most of my stuff from Rockauto, paid extra and went with Moog, but the other brands should be good enough and cheaper.

Someone will be along shortly to tell you if i'm speaking out me arse on the polys (i too would like to know)! :thumbright:

Personally I would stick with rubber bushes for the LCA's. I would also buy decent quality parts such as Moog or Pedders. If you buy cheap ball joints then expect the dust boots to disintegrate within a year which means pulling it all apart again to replace them.

sorry my bad, that was ment to be the standard kit, not the poly, but he had so many listed i just found the first one i was talking about.

so just for the record im NOT after poly. just wanting to know if i get a kit that says for standard factory disc brakes and mine (might of) come with drums will this be a MASSIVE issue?

Hi.
Don't forget that 'Roger', one of our fellow members on here, is your Pedders supplier through his business.
Have a look in the traders section.

Still poly bushes Sam........Made of Energy's HYPER-FLEX performance polyurethane.

If anybody can shed more light on Poly vs rubber i would like to know (Dave999 etc)! The Hyperflex link above seems like a good price for the whole kit?

I was led to believe use poly’s for everything, except LCA use rubber, you can get poly LCA bushes but you’ll be swapping them out again within 12 months, they’re just not suited to poly

I never had a problem with Poly. Used them for everything in my challenger (including the LCA bush) for 10 years or more?

I don't like the idea of suspension components moving in any direction except the direction they are supposed to move in.

The Mopar system design is not great at this so every little thing you can do to stop things wobbling around under load is good.

That should not be a problem, the bushes are the same , the spindle is a different size from disc to drum but everything in the suspension is the same :read2:

Look for B41 or B42 on the fender tag for factory disc brakes. See here

People will tell you all sorts of things but they are usually people that;

a) have never used them and are only repeating what they "heard".

b) Did use them but didn't install them correctly.

If you use the black graphite impregnated bushes and use a liberal coating of silicon grease you will not have squeaks. Like I said. I used them on my Challenger for many years and I am not the kind of guy that would put up with any minor fault including a squeak.

If I were you, I would take Dave's advice.

Poly bushes makes a lot of sense for all the right reasons

i doubt you have 4 pot calipers on your dart ,probably single piston calipers ,the 4 potters were found on hi performance models and export models like the warwick wright cars
