Board has gone quiet recently and with Ivor's RR thread got me thinking about cars of your past.

I've seen a few threads before where people have posted all sorts of cars over the years.

What would be interesting to see (well for me anyway), would be the pics of your old Mopars/Yanks Only (no bikes/modern).
Even better if you post a little story to it:

Spec's (overview not detailed)
When you bought it
Changes to it in ownership
When sold and to who, and if you believe/know if its still in the UK/Existence?
can also add reason for sale (fund another Mopar etc).....Up to you!

Would be good to see how you guys have moved through the scene throughout the years (even if you went to Chevy/Ford etc)!

Must have been a lot of cars gone through here over the last 30 years (inc before forum)!

None for me....1st Yank is what i have now!

I only owned two over a 30 year period. But in that time I worked at least a tiny bit on just about every Mopar local to me (and a few much further away).

1971 Chrysler Charger 770
1970 Dodge Challenger R/T.

I took both quite a way from stock. I was always interested in completely stock cars but couldn't live with one myself. I have a terrible urge to "improve" things.

Clearly I saw the light and moved from my beloved Chevy Tahoe to Mother MOPAR

I bought this 1995 LT Model from a friend in 2008 and it was used nearly every weekend whatever the weather (donuts and power slides in the snow ah those were fun times )

I used it in part-ex for the 71 Demon I now have.

I do miss the O'l gal cos she was in stunning condition considering I used her for anything from proms and wedding to logging and pulling cars from ditches I rekon it cost me more in Autoslime Resin Polish than it did in fuel though to keep her looking

350Ci with headers and a fat pipe made for a stunning sound, pleasant on long runs but an awsome growl

Only ever let me down once with a flat battery in 5 years of ownership and constant use, probably the most reliable motor I've ever owned.

As far as I know she's in the Rugby area cos Skippy (Dean Inskip) sold it to someone local to him shortly after I part-exed.

Cheers for starting this thread cos I havn't looked at all the photo's of the ol chevy since she went and I've really enjoyed seeing how smart the car was.

Last car i owned was a 1969 Torino Cobra it was a genuine 428 CJ 4 speed..a one of 10 only in that spec and colour.Loss of job forced me to sell,i bought it From Sandy and Linda Woodhead in Scotland but sold it to our own GT500 cone member here who sold it to his Dad who has a fine selection of cars.

Before the Cobra i had a 1964 Ford Falcon 4 speed bought from our own Malcom Bird..i sold the car back to Malcom Bird

Before that i had the 1972 340 4 speed petty Blue Roadrunner bought from Kenney in Scotland..sold it to Simon...now owned by Carl.

I also Had a 1971 Duster Twister got that from Bobby also in Scotland thanks to Dave Madders...sold that to a guy called Tony in Shewsbury?

Before that i had a 1968 Mercury Cougar XR7 this is the car i misss the most! not the fastest but best sounding v8 by far and a good car to cruise in...the v8 was good because it was a modern 302 ford racing crate motor.Sold this to Dave Madders who sold it to a guy in Scotland.

My First yank was a 77 Mustang 2 Ghia 302 Auto...had it as a daily for 3 years it was a good car.Last i heard it was in Scotland.

Awsome bunch of cars to have owned there Tyreman. This is why I got in early with my....er....one previous motor Lovin the Duster

ive got bugger all pics of my old mopars only got some of the demon and the valiant ,if anyone got any of the blue barracuda stuart and his bro have ,the white 67 coronet both of which were top ten winners ill have you know ,,the 69 super bee orange with A R Es, the gold 6 potter moredoor wrongrunner (sattelite) that i stuck the 383 and 4 speed into and then sold to dave billadeau,i would be most gratfull ,be nice to get them in my photos

Yes rob.do miss that one.very solid car.went up to scotland along with a red 69 dart swinger.he only come to buy the dart and bought both of them. Dunc boug ht in the white car it was in a bit of a mess as it had been shunted up the backside and he owwned the swinger at some point to

Tony's Duster was a lovely car. Liked that one myself. Very nearly a muscle car.

95 Mustang GT, 5.0 V8 still got that one and is Barbara's daily drive

1965 Impala SS, 327 stroked to 383

1992 Corvette, hated it !!

Ok, I'll play. First American car was the 3rd car I'd ever owned, '64 Olds F85 with a 330 V8. Bought it in 1979 when I was 21 for £250, running but needed a new starter. I was earning about £50 a week at the time and could hardly afford to run anything let alone that AND a Triumph Herald as a daily. Laid up over the winter while I tried to raise the £100 for a starter, the block froze up and a chunk of the water jacket got blown out. Had to accept defeat and a derisory offer from the local breakers, I went back to British Fords for a bit having never driven it under it's own power.

now thats an odd looking car, reminds me of the aussie dart thingie for some reason,
