A lifetime ago, 1983/4, I owned a charger 770 PMF 753L, last seen over in Cambridgeshire when I sold it. There's no record of it on the DVLA site, but I just wondered if anyone had it tucked away somewhere?

I bought a workshop manual off a guy with one in Cambridgeshire in the 80s. The car was red and had one piece door glass which I have never seen before or since.

Wouldn't the one piece door glass have been standard on air con cars?
Did they not follow this on the Chargers?
I know it was on at lease the VG sedan, wagon etc.

Possibly. I have never seen an AC Charger either though because I don't think the UK imported ones had it.

Fair point, the Import chargers probably did not have AC... Ice to the Eskimos and all that.
Where as the import VG VIPs should have had AC as that was about the only claim to fame that it had.... First Australian production car to have AC as standard fitment.

Nope, mine had quarterlights, 318 auto, last seen in black. Unless it had a hard life since we parted company, I'd like to think it was too good to ever be scrapped, but you never know

quater lights and fixed rear side windows
full glass+ aircon
vented rear windows seem to come on cars with full glass.
mine has the wrong doors so has 1/4 vents
mine has aircon..well it has the aircon box under the dash and too many buttons on the heater control
mine is not an X35 car though cos i brought it in
had bits off a guy in cambridgshire the car he had wasn't worth moving riveted checkerplate had been used to fix it. trans tunnel was alright
so was roof
the rest was very not alright no VIN or registration in evidence
his mate was going to DO IT UP

I saw a black one in a scrap yard in the Midlands around the late 80s. It had ran away downhill sans driver and hit a lamp post front and center. It was in very good nick apart from that.

'86? Yep. That could have been 86 when I saw that black one in a yard somewhere west of Birmingham.
