Well, not quite my best et but my best mph.
First run today at Shakey's ran a 12.05@118mph.
Had a few more runs but had to let off because the car was going sideways.
Still I'm pleased about the mph because the car seemed to be slowing down lately. Just proves it's still making good power.
Also got a best 1/8 mile mph, 93.04.
Still running street tyres and the 60 foot was 1.9 secs.
I was expecting fuel problems because I'm back on a mechanical fuel pump but the A/F ratio looked good over the line, about 12:1.

Well done Mick :thumbright: Why don't you try it with a pair of slicks Mick or are you still running on the semi sticky ones? Hats off to you for the time in a manual motor though. :thumbright:

Maybe one day I'll have a go with slicks. I used to run drag radials but they just don't work with a 4 speed. They also cost too much and only last about 2000 miles on the street.

Yes I got it repaired under warranty, even though it was 18 months old and GV only give 12 months warranty if it's used with a 4 speed. I got a phone call from the president of GV, Rick Johnson, who said I was the first person in the UK to break one of his overdrives. He told me to send it to Overdrive Repair Services in Sheffield and he would pay for them to repair it. So that's what I did. GV shipped a new clutch and clutch band overnight to Sheffield and I had it back in within a week.

Electric fuel pump was too loud Mick, I couldn't live with the drone.
Shakey's was pretty busy, mostly hatch backs and bikes. It was taking about an hour between runs.

Car weighs about 3800 lbs with me in it, power is a guess, maybe 550.
I drive it off the line else it just fries the tyres.
Shift between 5500 and 6000.
Yukon shafts from Doctor Diff.
8 3/4" axle.

Any more questions?
:)

Although Mick's car is raced a fair bit, it's not optimised for the track.
He chooses better road manners, handling, etc at the detriment of track times.
His aim was 11's which he's now done. :thumbright: But we all know it's a slippery slope. :D

Hi Mick, yes very slippery mate...11's on streets is indeed good...was just a sample of info of what its capable of which I'm sure he knows.
Give us a call?..sometime and let us know what you've done with the Dart to run 10's this yr......

back on thread now.
