I'm ordering some brake parts to sort the front calipers on my Dart (they came from Kevs old taxi), and I can get all I need from PP&R. Shipping says $42 aus but does anyone know who they use? Will my stuff end up with Parcel Force  or will they use someone sensible like UPS? OR is there anyone over here that can get stuff for sensible money?.
Thanks, Arran.

Hi Arron.
PP&R are very good and you will get what you need but yes you probably will wind up paying tax and the extra for having to pay for that little pleasure too.

Try Roger on here, one of our members and a pedders dealer. As an aussie I have respect for the brand and a long history of using their products.
you will find his details in the traders section.
His prices will be total to your door, in my experience.
He has been very helpful to me in the past so comes highly recommend.

Forgot to add... regular imports too!

PP&R use Oz post for small stuff at their end

so it ends up parcel force at this.

I think Kev had VH disk brakes

pin sliders kelsey hayes designed 1 pot on a girlock or blank stamped bracket

sold him my last set of VH pads to fianace the purchase of VJ pads as i didn't know i had VJ brakes when i purchased the VH ones

PP&R are very good. My stuff has come via Royal Mail so far, but mainly small stuff. Large bits I send to rellys and wait for someone to have a holiday.

Thanks for the replies :thumbright:
I have the twin piston PBR cast iron calipers which I have discovered today are an almost exact match for early Triumph TR6 ones and crucially the pistons are identical as are the seal kits so I have 4 stainless pistons and a seal set on the way from Rimmer bros with trade discount. I have ordered studs and some other small stuff from PP&R so I'll look forward to a letter from Parcelforce saying I cant have my stuff until I pay them (which is OK as I am in no real hurry for the bits).
Thanks again

No, they just have standard head height bolts on mine. On the TR6, the bolts hold the disc dust shield and a support for the brake pipe. It was a huge coincidence that I found all this out as I was just searching for pistons of the right size and up popped TR6 ones and it just happens that my boss has a TR6 parked in front of my Dart at work so I whipped off one of his calipers and it fits straight onto my mounts, exactly the same backspacing so the disc runs central. The only mod would be a couple of mm off the circumference of the disc (similar to the Toyota caliper mod). The pads are identical except for very slightly wider mount pin spacing which is easily sorted with a file so that opens up a wide selection of pad availability.
I did look into the Toyota upgrade but availability of recon units is scarce or pricey and I can sort my brakes out for much less hassle so I'm well chuffed :thumbright:

Hi Arran/Dave

I matched the pads at a local motor factors (old brake pad shadow book) to some Aston Martin ones that just needed a quick file on each side. Aston and others, but I only remember the Aston bit. I didn't buy any pads off you Dave(?). The pistons and piston seals were the same as 1600E (pilfered some off Philth when he had an E).
