I though i'd cut it first with an angle grinder then a hacksaw, so it'll come off easier when i start pulling it.
Over done it a bit with the hacksaw cut 4 mil into the spline.
It came off lovely and now i know exactly where the new one sits.

The last one I pulled off I used a big hydraulic puller with the car jacked into the sky and jubilee clips around the legs of the puller to keep them on.

Yes it came off ok but whose finger was inbetween the floor and the spot
where the head of the pulling bolt ended up, yep mine, the word OUCH was not uttered although something else similar was.

Tip number 1 leave the nut on a little

Tip numer 2 Keep all pinkies especially pinkie nails well out of the way

the one that I have is a manual version, just attach a socket wrench and slowly but easily it all comes apart.
