B body lower cowl

Hi all
I need to repair the lower cowl panel on my 65 Coronet, around the area where the wiper mechanism pivots. Both sides need doing although the drivers side is worse.
I assume that I'll need to remove the bumper, wings and bonnet.
Am I right in thinking that the upper cowl is welded to the lower cowl and I will have to cut it off?
Looks like the windshield may have to come out too.
Thanks
Les

Depends what area exactally, as Will said can you attach some photos, as you may well get away with just removing the hood.
You may even beable to access the area either side of the wiper motor from inside the car.

Thanks for all replies.
It's the area where the wiper pivots mount. I think the upper cowl is welded to the lower cowl. From what I've managed to find out, the commonest method for getting to it is either under the dash, which is no good because on the drivers side the tin worm extends quite a long way down or by cutting out a section of the upper cowl, doing the repair and then welding it all back together.
I just can't see how the underneath of the upper panel is then adequately painted and seam sealed.
Cheers
Les

Here are a couple of photos of when I cut my scuttle panel out which you've done & mines a '69 B Body but this may help.

Cheers for those pics. I'm hoping to tackle this in the next couple of weeks and I think the hood, fenders and upper cowl are coming off.
