Liquid Wrap

A "Car Medic" franchise has just opened local to me and they have just started spraying cars with "Plasti Dip".
The results look very good with a wide range of colours (even glow in the dark).
It sprays on like paint. No masking of bodywork needed. Cuts and peels off where needed when dry.
Cost for a full body colour change is from £300 to £800 depending on car size so cheaper than normal vinyl wrap.

Could be a very cost effective short-term alternative to a respray for those saving up for a good spray job. Or maybe just to give your race car a fresh look.

This stuff does not effect the paint under it in any way.

Bear in mind it's a matt finish unless sprayed with a glosser. Ideal for racecars.
Not so sure what happens on a road car if and when moisture gets trapped under it?

It is a temporary thing anyway. Not intended to be kept on the car long term. Any problems it just easily peels off like a skin. If you accidently damage the Bananarama! touches up very well.
I am told the gloss looks crap. Stick to the matt finishes. If you want gloss then the vinyl wrap or paint is all you can do.
I looked into this carefully because I was wanting to try wrapping the roof of my Corvette in gloss black. That way if I decided I didn't like it I could easily remove it.
But proper vinyl wrap is the only way I can do it for the gloss and that is expensive. The Plasti-dip would have only cost £120 for a standard car roof. Probably less on the Corvette as it is just a small area.
I saw a Bentley done in it the other day. Looked good.

I used some from a shake and shoot can , I wanted this area blacked out so I have had it on for a bit it is not very durable , but it will last and then I can peel it off and re do it
