Hi,
I've just received a speedo cable from the States, and the gearbox end is too small.
I saw the one of you guys had the same problem, when I was looking through the forum. I can't find the post now !!
Are there diferent sized ends for 904 or 727 ?
Thanks

Hi Johnny- I've just been going through the same issue - spent ages researching what was supposed to be the right cable part no etc and when it got here it didn't fit.
My local American car place in Kings X got one made but I haven't been back for it yet, but it might be better to get one made given the price of shipping stuff over - if you want I can call and see where they had it done - I've got to sort out a trip back there soon anyway
Cheers
Paul

Hi Ya,
Thanks for the input, I was hoping you knew which cable had the correct end.
There is a a cable place near me, that I could have a word with about putting the right end on, but I expect I will cost a load of money !
Do you know what cars these cables do fit, I think Id rather sell this new one, and buy the correct one.

I used these people to transfer my old gearbox end over to a new cable (think it was a Ford C4 end onto a Jag speedo cable) and it wasn't over expensive

Hi,
Good Idea,
Problem is The Dart came with out a cable, If I could get hold of a broken cable, then I think I could have the end nut put on to the cable I bought that is wrong. Any one got a 727 cable end.
I've done a bit of research on the part number (pioneer CA-3027) , and it seem this is for a manual transmission.I will try to order the correct one ,Doh!

Are you still looking for a cable ?
I have ordered another one from another company, and emailed them to double check it would fit my car, year , and trans.
If its the correct one I'll let you know the part number and seller.

Hi,thanks,but
I've ordered one now.
I will be needing other parts for my 1973 Dart swinger, in the next weeks or so, as I get though a list of jobs. I currently have the dash apart, waiting for some wiper linkage parts, and a flasher switch. Do you have much A body stuff ?

Just got another cable from the states ,different make, questioned seller to make sure it would fit 1973 Dodge Dart, said yes it would.
Guess what its the same as the last one that didn't fit either.
Have I got the wrong gearbox drive ?
My drive is 7/8 , the cables are 5/8 ARRRHHHHH.
Any one know wich is the correct size
