post your views they may help or just make the Dilemma worse lol ! :banghead: ok just putting back together the 440 68 charger newly rebuilt engine with new indy EZ-1 heads and Indy manifold and procharged

so now with the raised heads which are max wedge inlet ports size and the top hat on the blow thru carb now sits about 2 inches higher do i cut a lovely hole in my hood ?? (paintwork by the way is outstanding) and fit a small scoop or some kind or reverse induction scoop ??? i dont really want a fiberglass hood or want to mess around with paint work ??

the correct thing to do here is to probably go fuel injection but my budget has kinda been blown out of the sky already.... unless somebody knows of a half decent used kit or a new one that someone hasent got round to fitting at a resonable price ??

there are lower inlet manifolds but are not max wedge port size but even once ported to match im still about an inch too high !!

answers and views on a post card please many thanks muzz !

Well, in the immortal words of the "Blues Brothers", it sounds like you are up s41t creek.....

I would opt for a glass hood as a termorary solution and drive the car until I could afford the FI.

:iagree:

Glass hood for now as there would be no way I would cut a perfectly good steel one.

Then save your money and buy another used steel hood and mod that one with scoops etc (this would be my choice).

You can then revert and change if you have the engine out and go another route/sell in the future! :thumbright:

Win Win Win! 8-)
