So, I took the top shock absorber rubbers out of the inner wing using a pickle fork ball joint splitter and they were so difficult to remove they eventually split in two, so I need to get two new ones.

Now, here's the sixty nine thousand dollar question, if they are this difficult to get out, does anyone have any helpful hints on how to get the new ones in?

Kev, I would appreciate a response that doesn't include the word Vaseline!

Petroleum jelly? :D If you use aftermarket shocks they havemuch smaller rubbers that you should be able to wiggle through.

You normally get new ones with the shocks, they are usually 2 piece and have a metal insert to stop you from overtightening them. I might have a pair in stock if you are stuck.
