I am not talking about the Roll pin.
There is a
small pin on the body of the unit you are trying to remove. It may have a small round head on it....punch it in to the body and then disassemble it.....

Worked like a charm, took the old gubbings out, they had flat wear spot on them and no real profile left.
Put the new internals in, packed it full of grease and put a new cover on it. Can't say the grease covers clip on very well, despite the ends being as crimped in as much as poss. Will just have to keep an eye on it but it has tightened the assembly up no end.
Sweet

There was a factory spring clip mod for it back in the day, a guy in Michigan used to sell repros but not now

I replaced the Original steering UJ thing with a real UJ
I got this from Hauser racing
There are a few Pitch of spline option available in this size as i found out
I used part. SWE401-50607
I found that if i cut the original steering shalf in the middle of hole the length was perfect.
This fits directly onto the spline shaft on the steering box
There was some talk about this being a bad thing as there is no up and down movement like the original had so do your own research ( possible steering box wear as car Flexes)
Then welder on full blast and she is on
