Was in touch with Anthony Mitchell today ( son of the late Paul Mitchell ) and he has informed me that the white GS that his dad used to run will be back put piloted by him :thumbright:

He will be giving it a shakedown on the 11th May meet at North Weald. Worth a visit for that if nothing else !!!

For those of you who don't know it. A cracking car that in its day was the quickest GS Buick in Europe !! ( prob still is !)

Best of luck to Anthony

Very windy and cold but dry.
And I had a great day. Good to catch up with JohnS and Tony383 and also meet some more members Les , Rusty and " the" Coronet ( love that car ) and also Billy Mills ( can't remember his user name ) and his cracking 67 notch back Barracuda. 340 powered with ally heads etc. I think it was his first time out and got a best ET of 13.3. Runs real strong with its nose up the full 1/4 !
Rusty was also running his Coronet and was consistent mid 15's on street tyres with an open axle !!

Anthony Mitchell got a good few shakedown runs in the big old GS which was great to see out again. Was running in the low 11's so not to shabby at all. His dad would have been proud !! A great bloke who I wish the best of luck for the future.

So. All in all a great day for me. And a pleasure to meet you chaps I've not met before.

Oh. And can I just say a big thanks to John for the big block drifting experience. In true Mma style !!!!
Although I don't understand why the marshals didnt like it ????
Probably cos they weren't in the car ? :D
