Torque converter to flexplate question

When I had the engine out I offered up the flexplate to the verter and it all aligned with the bolt holes.

Now the engine is is the bolt holes seem a bit adrift, is there only one way the line up like ? Did I fluke it when I offered it up?

The verter is in and spins freely, double double checked it's seated correctly.

Didn't want to rotate the engine too much unless I know I have to

Any ideas.....?

They only line up one way. One bolt is off slightly. Once you get it right use some spray paint to mark it.

Cheers Anton, thought that was it

May even crank it tomorrow, not fire it up though !

Will drop those headers of yours back down in next few weeks as the ones I have are the same so will use them

Cheers

On a separate note, I have had new B&M SFI plates that would not fit as the holes were not big enough  only a few thou out but enough to P1 55 on your chips.

This is why fitting and marking up outside the car is always worth it.....

Sorted it today, did end up having to widen one one very slight (oooo errr missus). Not the easiest thing to do when it's all in the car.

Used a smashing sublime squirt of paint on one bolt hole for future use.

None of this pansie orange nail varnish rubbish :D
