How much approximately would it be to swap from a 4 speed to a 727 auto ? What else needs to be changed ? Not sure where I would find a 727 from over here though, thanks

Between £100 and £2000.
Depending how much donor stuff you get with the trans, if the trans needs rebuilding, and if you can weld and do all the work yourself or not. You will also need to shorten the prop if that is not one of the donor bits.

Is it a small block or big block engine as the 727 are different

Yes the small block ones are much harder to find.

Why would you want to swap a manual for an auto? if serious and it's a big block send me a pm as I would do a swap from auto to manual for my rod so cost could be minimal say for an auto shifter that I don't have.
