Don't think it's been mentioned that he was I'll, maybe his heart gave out or if it was to do with that quad bike accident. I guess we will find out in the next few days.

Big shock,
first noticed him as Kevin Turvey, then as Rick in The Young Ones which lead on to all the duo's with Ade Edmondson.
New Statesman & cameo's in Blackadder, all brilliant stuff.

Very sad.
TBH i remember hearing about the quad accident but didnt know it put him in a wheelchair.
Too soon........Bottom was a great part of growing up for me.......Bloody HELL Eddy.......

Without Rik and his telly characters I wouldn't be who I am today.
He pretty much taught me authority is there to be ridiculed not respected, to stick two fingers up at it and laugh in it's face.
One of the funniest guys ever, I'm really gutted he's gone so soon
