Knebworth Festival of Transport 13th June

Made the long trek
on Sunday to Knebworth for their Fathers Day classic car show, that now bears the grand title of 'Festival of Transport'.
Maybe the drizzle early on, or just the new layout in a different field (we presumed they were keeping the usual field undamaged, ready for Sonisphere in 3 weeks), but there did seem to be a bit less there than in previous years, but worth the trip all the same.
Caught a glimpse of Pete & Julie in the 'Bee on the way in but we soon heard from Pete by phone saying his fuel pump had packed up (not sure how tho
) - hope you got home ok Pete? Sorry we werent able to help
On the positive side, we did bump into Jem who was there in his oh so cool Bonneville
Also met another old fiend there Tony ('Emu' on here) who had his latest acquisition, the red 66 Mustang fastback in the pics below.
And as you can see below, Naughty was there with the Granada crowd with his 3.0 Ghia
Contender for star of the show for me tho, was the '85 RS Turbo Escort. Spotless from top to bottom. Looked like a recent resto but everything looked brand new, or better than, but not overdone if you knoworrimean! The indicated 20k miles probably helped the overall condition too.

And this for Blue (no pun intended)..... following on from your recent 'radiator hose' post - I'd have thought this was the look you were going for

And finally..... the award for the longest-car-club-web-address goes to.....
