I'll be there on Sunday with family - my 1st ever live drag event!

Any tips, hints or advice for the Newbie from you experienced chaps?

I don't think you will be running at that event Mike, though I may have got the wrong end of the stick with your post............

You need to pick a basic RWYB and I am sure one of the members will assist you.......

Sure, I know I won't be running. My question was actually looking for advice about attending and how to get the best out of the event as a spectator.

Sorry if I caused any confusion, when I said "live" I meant not on TV.

Really looking forward to seeing how a drag event works after years of going to road racing circuits.

Get there early if the weather's good or you'll get stuck in a que to get in , take some ear defenders and step into another world for a day.

Sod the ear defenders !
Turn up early. Pick a good view point ( I like just after start line )
Sit down and feel , smell , taste and watch the most powerful cars on planet earth.
Go home smiling for a week. :thumbright:

Our team is there with the Superbird again. We've fixed everything after a rod kicked out at the Nats but it's back together and up for hopefully it's first real full pass with the new setup.

Working late tonight to free up tomorrow and taking two of my guys as a bonus for work, it's gonna be their first top fuel event so I can't wait to see their reaction

I was gonna take my car up the strip at lunch break for entertainment cos that's how long it takes me to make a pass    ;)

Also, as Ade says, good luck to Hans and the team :thumbright: looking forward to it.
