Yeah I've seen this.
He was doing nearly 100mph, its going to be tricky to see a bike at that speed. That said there are some proper numtards on the roads these days.

I have no sympathy for Bikers who ride on the road. They know the risks and rarely keep the Speed Limit. Keep the Crotch Rockets for the Track or Field.

Yep, brings back a few bad memories, two years ago (06/09/2012) I was involved in a head on collision with a Motorcycle, I was driving a truck & a motorist who was travelling towards me caused a situation in which a motorcyclist was forced into my path, the guy hit me full on & was killed instantly.
I still get flashbacks to this day.
I cannot express how quickly things can change on the road, where the most average of day can turn into everyones worst nightmare in under a second, simply down to carelessness.
Then, you have long wait for things to go to court, and that is a story in itself, two years on the inquest is still pending. It never goes away & never seems to stop.

Neat theory you have there Herr Dr, except that the guy who was forced into the front of the truck I was driving was well within the speed limit while riding quite legally on the road on his CBF1000.
From what I can gather he was a very experienced biker.
So contrary to your views I have the utmost sympathy, for him & his family.

So he knew the risks and his experience did not help him. I feel sorry for him family. Id never put cheap thrills above the welfare of my family, but that's just me.

So Andy, does your theory apply to everyone in every walk of life who 'takes unnecessary risks' or do you just have a particular hatred of people who ride motorcycles and their families?
You sir, are a tit.

Back to David's story, I just don't get why the driver of the car pleaded guilty to causing death by careless driving when the biker was doing nearly a ton, perhaps he was advised he would get a lesser sentence. And yes, I feel sorry for the biker and his family, we've all done daft things, sometimes we get away with it, sometimes not

Don't normally have problem with bikes. What is a regular problem for me given where I work, are the kind of idiots that usually drive BMW's. Was nearly involved in a serious one the other morning at 5.30am. Approaching a
roundabout on the right to turn right in a 30, matey comes up the chevrons on my right at high speed, cuts across me and the guy on my inside because he's going left. I suspect it was stolen or he was off his tits or both...

FFS don't get me going on BMWs! Are they only allowed in the outside lane on motorways. IN GENERAL and in my honest opinion, they do seem to attract a certain type of driver

Yes they do, use any available space to travel in any direction usually at high speed. Video gamers I call 'em...
