02 NOVEMBER – VEE-POWER SUNDAY

New for 2014, a Breakfast Club dedicated to the glory that is the vee engine – from vee twin motorcycles to mighty V16 Cadillacs

All 2014 Goodwood Breakfast Club events are free to enter and open to all, with free parking available (depending on weather). To park within the Motor Circuit grounds you must have a theme-relevant car or motorcycle and have pre-registered. Breakfast Clubs start at 08.00 and finish at 12.00.

Pre-register  I thought you just turned up for these Breakfast Club jobbies? Spose it stops people turning up in the wrong 'themed' car/bike.

Only done one of these, a few years ago. Would like to do another sometime, maybe next year...

It was 'open access' for a long time but they started pre-registration a year or so back when the Breakfast Club events started to suffer, volume-wise, from their own success.

It seems to work well and I guess it stops the volunteer marshals from having to turn non-themed vehicles away and deal with any subsequent disappointment and unpleasantness on the gate.

Like the sound of this, and I'm off work that day. Good excuse for a run out.

See below for latest info from Goodwood:

The Breakfast Club is free to attend whether you bring a themed vehicle or not. However, if you want to drive into the circuit to display your car, you’ll need to apply here https://grrc.goodwood.com/breakfast-clu ... gistration . Applications close on 30th October and it will help your application if you include a photo of your car or motorcycle, too.

Thanks Mike. I've just registered for this event and I'm waiting to hear back whether we'll be granted a place!

Don't mind whether we're on the grid or not, anywhere in the circuit would be fine. But if they say they're full and we'd have to park in the public car park, I don't think we'll bother :?

Hope to see you there.

From the latest Goodwood e-mail I sense that they may still looking for "exhibitors". Its a new theme, late in the season and many may have already been tucked-up nice and warm until next season.

Fingers crossed for some nice dry weather.

I remember that Adam, that's just before we were told to clear off as they usually charge hundreds of ££ for photos in front of their 'iconic' buildings.
Jobsworths...

Probably won't make it now, busy week with kids at camps etc, and hoping to get to London to see the poppies at the Tower before the 11th.

Thanks for the heads up Nick, will bear that in mind but don't want to miss it.
Did the Somme, Menin Gate and Passchendaele last weekend to visit Great Grandfathers graves.
