£15 to drag race or drift all day.

28mph tail wind predicted

Remember to stop before the cliff edge.

I am going up with the Vette to show some of the s*itboxes what an American car can do.

Plus I need a long run out to check I have sorted an electrical issue that's been bugging me. :D

175 miles.
Not really much different to going to York and half the distance to SPR or Shakey. Much more relaxed to. The only time you see an official is if you dare do a burnout in the car park.

Very interesting control tower there. Used to be a Navy airbase. Still lots of old signage etc.

I've been having electrical issues the last few months that have slowly got worse. Cruise dropping out, active handling coming and going, ABS engaging occasionally when just braking gently in a straight line, etc

Think I finally traced to one wire with a ground connection on the chassis behind one rear wheel. Bloody plastic cars. 9 different grounding points on the car in odd places.
So hopefully it is fixed but I need a long run out to be sure. ;)

Bad weather and lack of notice stopped me going to Kirkbride twice this year.

I like these small tracks. Everyone is just a petrol head and interested in everyone elses cars. Most of them only run 14s so anything faster draws a lot of interest. And any Yank motor is unusual.

Yah the tracks are poor and you are never going to run a PB. But it's cheap fun and a nice drive out.

Wind was 30mph and mainly from the side but still a 13.18 @ 105.9 beating the other C5 Vette I was racing against. :D

Dave, is that a best et. Thought you usually ran around 13.4/5?

Yes. Previous PB was 13.3 @ 104 mph.

You can see one of my runs through the windscreen of this Audi.

I had to run in the "Unlimited" class because of my engine size.

Still came 8th though. :thumbright:

Just a few photos.

I tried to get into the control tower but got chased by a Ragie Gadgie (Angry Man).
