Deal done, paid and ready for collection from Dallas, Texas to ship out of Houston.

Sourcing and Importing was my next goal after the Fury resto so went for this 1972 triple white 440 New Yorker. Needs some work (mainly to the roof and front passenger fender and some interior tidying/ fixing) but rest seems fine. Phoned the seller and was on to him for ages....nice guy and extremely helpful. Emailed lots of photos to me and all the docs promptly after the funds cleared. He seems very genuine.

One lady school teacher from new to 2011, Keith bought the car after 15 years of pestering her to sell....did some work (lots actually!) but other projects forced the sale to me.

All very exciting and great fun :thumbright:

I know Blue, its you lot bullying me!!! :D

Does seem to be mostly bodywork and a little bit of welding to the roof but nothing like the Fury. Im glad I fought through that but wont be in a rush to do it anytime soon. Seems a good car, lots of the usual stuff done, brakes, suspension, ignition, tank etc so shouldn't take too much to up her a rung or two. Im going to strip the roof back (bare metal as you advised on the Fury Terry...its a learning process!!), weld up the small bits on the C pillar that needs to be done then paint the roof white to match the rest. Just that will transform her for the sake of a few days sanding etc.

The caravan is going Terry so might just survive with two on the drive for a while tilll I move the Fury on, fingers crossed!

I think you would look great in this Ivor, deck shoes, pipe, stripey top and a straw hat....the business!!

Ooh I like that :thumbright:

Until now, I couldn't think of a car I thought looked better with a vinyl roof but I reckon that would look great with a new WHITE vinyl.
A darker colour would spoil the lines but a bit of white vinyl with the associated trim would break up the vast expanse of white paint and look a bit classier than just a painted roof.

IMHO of course :)

Good on ya for taking the plunge. Hope the rest of the deal goes smooth 8-)
