fluid stripping for cars and panels

I have a front fender that I would like to get chemically stripped , I have heard of the non volatile chemical type baths they use now which will take every thing off including rust and/ or filler so you get a really clean result and there are no corrosive bits left trapped in crevices and such.
I would be thinking of the Bedfordshire area.

Hi Tim, Ive heard that some places now use crushed walnut shells to 'bead blast' panels. Think its far less aggressive than chemicals etc....might be worth looking into??
Cheers Steve

Try vapour blasting ( sometimes called wet blasting ), it's like sand blasting but with a pressure washer instead of compressed air. Leaves a great finish ready for paint or polish

I have Tryed it all and done a lot of this at home myself
Firstly nothing chemical or blasting will get into behind where 2 panels are spot welded togther. A member on here had a 70 charger dipped then paint diped the full work cost £££ and it still bleed rust from the joints.
Chemical deeping is generally more expensive
In the old days sand blasting was used with such high air pressures that the friction heat generated would cause panels to warp.
Today people understand this and ether blast with a low pressure or use a media that does not cause so much heat. Ice peanuts soda etc
Chemical deep is ok but time needs to be taken to make the panel chemically neutral before painting. Normally a lot of thinners.
I now just have a friend who does graffiti removall blast all the edges and strucktor and I da the middle.
Cheap

Thanks guys, I think I will try having it dipped, the bits I have seen done like whole body shells look impressive, I just need to get a quote.
