Missed Ron's boat. Who else imports parts I've bought?

Anyone else do a service like Ron at STS? His boat is due to sale and next one arrives in November. Need to get some brake/suspension parts over.

Russ Pepper at RnR Hot Rod Imports has monthly containers from New Jersey, he's in Luton

Also Langys Hot Rod Shop in Watford has weekly shipments from Summitt, Speedway etc

Thanks, just trying to cut out huge shipping costs. One vendor who has the brakes I want needed $200 for shipping before taxes

You could try Richard at Stateside I think shipments are fortnightly.
He is less than half an hour from me so could pick the bits up and bring to the Hot Rod Drags for you if that helps.
I might see him on Thursday and I can make enquiries if you let me know what you are bringing in and where from or just ring him direct on

Thanks Ian, does your guy bring in other peoples parts? Most UK Yank suppliers bring pats in but at their own price as its their business. Ron Fenton adds on shipping and his own amount but doesn't actually add to the price of the parts being shipped in if you see what I mean.

Fairly sure he was doing the same as Ron offering to bring in people's own parts with his own shipment. I will ask him on Thursday.

Hi Miles,
went to Stateside today to get bits for my Caballero and asked Dave about importing stuff for you.
Basically, they have to buy the parts in their name to satisfy Customs.
You give Stateside Autos the name of the site and part no/ebay no. etc and they buy the bits, their shipments originate from Pennsylvania to the UK so you would have to build in postage from supplier to Pennsylvania.
As a guide, whatever the parts cost in $$$ there, will be the charge to you in £££ here plus VAT. eg cost $200 in USA = £200 +VAT £40 Total £240 cost to you. You will obviously need to do your sums though.
Ring Dave or Richard on 01827 717600 and tell them Ian with the black RoadRunner (and the Caballero without a dipstick !) spoke about it today.
They say they are happy to give you a firm quote, so nothing lost.
It would pay you to ring them tomorrow as I think the next shipment is in 10 days and the Drags are on 11th Sept.

You, Pete, Mick and John helped me out at Gary's Picnic earlier this year, that's what it's all about.
Lemme know how you get on.
