This particular version of powered promotional model was made by a company in Detroit called Creative Industries that most people are not familiar with. They were basically a job shop for Chrysler Corporation and many other manufacturers that did lots of custom one off jobs that were too small to tool up the plant to do from 1950-91. They made a number of Ford and Packard show cars and did the final assembly for the 1969 Dodge Daytona and 1970 Plymouth Superbird the big winged cars that were built for nascar racing. They had made fiberglass bodies for Dodge, packard and Ford show cars so doing the mini Plymouth would not have been difficult for them to do. The Primary customer for the project appears to be the Avis rental car company that purchased 70 of them for the new york worlds fair. Since they had fairly substantial front and rear bumpers I would verture to guess that the were used on a driving course where they were expected to run into each other on occassion. They would go as fast as 28MPH but could be governed back to a slower speed for younger drivers. They would also fit adults but no size limit is given.
