I've had a small weep from one of the brass fittings on my six-pack setup so bought all new lines to replace them. I've fitted them today and there are leaks at every brass union!

I'm worried about over-tightening them and wondered if I should have used something on the threads?

5 days from the NEC and the car is not running. I should have left well alone..

Six pack fuel lines can be a pain to seal, the actual sealing area isn't very large and everything has to line up. I would take it off, take it all apart, use liquid PTFE on all the nuts and loosely assemble it. Fit it to the carbs and finger tighten all the nuts. Then go round all the nuts nipping them up a little bit at a time till they are all tight. Fire it up and nip up a bit more if any leak, hopefully that will sort it. You can, and sometimes have to grit your teeth and keep tightening with persistent leaks, good luck!

yes and always hold every union block or hex head with the appropriote spanner whilst you tighten its nuts

Yeah I think I was being a pussy with the spanner. I've give them a proper pull and they are all dry now. Car still won't start though..
