Warwickshire Auto Elec / American Car Garage

I've had a Dash Camera fitted to my VE Val (after I found out about a claim on the work insurance for another driver, that was totally fraudulent, growing daily, and stands at over £200,000!).

Keen to avoid this, I've had the camera put in. Of course, 46 years of wires sitting there are not to happy about this, and I'm having some electrical issues.

Does anyone happen to know of a garage that they've used in the Warwickshire (or at a push, West Midlands or Oxfordshire) area? The garage we use for work is ok at working on the car, but they're not always able to handle the issues it has. Easy to understand really, hence I am looking for a specialist.

Electrics were my least favourite bit when I was young, and they've not got any more appealing as I've aged.

Thanks Guy.

Are they ok with "older" (46 yrs) / non-UK cars?

Yes should be they work on a load of old classics, I know that Mark owns a early Mustang. But be warned they charge autoelectrician prices ;)

Or as Pete says Jim Smith is another good choice

How would I contact Jim?

It's not so much about the money (not that you should ever say that!), but more about getting it sorted. I'm using it as a daily driver at the moment, and it was doing ok until the crash-camera came along (well, apart from the Bananarama!-poor lights & wipers, the fog, smell etc etc... !)

It's more about someone who knows about older cars. I'd dread to think what it is like in there! I had a look under to see what the camera guys did, and bloody-hell! 46 years have not been kind! Bits of wires, clips, all sorts everywhere! I'm amazed it worked at all before the camera-guys started!
