Well tomorrow I pick it up, and drive directly to the shop. Not even going to go home with it.
First job will be bodywork, somehow I am guessing there is going to be a lot of it!

I guess I will get it on the hoist first, and have a good look at it underneath! Scary!!
Going to Keep the 340ci... Will relocate rear springs and mini tub it. I want 10.5" tires under the rear. Someone in the past has hacked the rear lips off very badly. So I will have to replace the rear wheel arch areas. These are available!, doors have normal bubbles, and right rear quarter is a bloody mess!
Get it straight, and paint. Not made up my mind if it will have any graphics yet. But plenty of time to think about that. Car has to be done for spring.
Wanted to put in cage, but classic car insurance will not touch it then! front seats are hijack jobbies. They don't look too bad, so will stay for now. Dash pad is poor. and I think the dash may need to be sorted out.

Well I guess it won't be "Red" or "Loud" then
This will be a great build up thread
I assume you mean you can get outer wheel housings, I bet full quarters are not available.

No full quarters available for these Pete. But a decent repair section around the wheel arch is available. Let's hope so Derek. I just need something I like again. The two cars I wanted were 57 Chevy or 66 Coronet. The 67 is copse enough!

I found lower rear sections for my Belve but they were very poorly made. The arch lip was a soft curve in cross-section instead of the sharp corners of the original. It took days to make a dolly and reshape the entire panel! No inner was available so I made that from scratch.
I think mine was from Sherman. Possibly.

Well..... What a crap morning! Had a real good look at it again, just before parting with my money. I had to walk from it. The damage was just too much. It went into the roof, B pillar as well as a nasty crease in the floor. In fact the whole of the rear was at a bent angle. There as a bad repair where on of the spring hangers had torn. It has see a real bad accident. I was just to concerned that this car will never sit right again.
If a Mod can delete this thread. Or leave it as a warning for future buyers.
So, Carless now.

Sorry to read this Jeff.
Plans you had for it looked great.
Better that you spotted the damage now rather than later. Chin up mate. Something better will come up
